7 weeks, 547 drawings, 2493 frames of animation. And a couple sleepless nights. Here's what it took to create this short animation.


Some specs about this : it was originally created for an animation class I attended this semester. The project was started up really late (like, beggining of March), and was finished just in time for the deadline (April 17th). There are some things I couldn't fix, like the size of the animation. It's 842 pixels wide by 612 pixels high. But there's a frame, so all of you 800x600ers out there will be able to see it aswell (who in the world STILL have anything below that anyway?).


Also, I had to deal with the original size of each scanned frame (8 X 11" / 72 dpi ), because of the loss of quality when resizing; it takes way too long to import in grayscale, the "black and white" scanner setting is faster to work with when you have over 600 frames to scan. That's why the lines tend to skip on the animation. But that's part of the effect I wanted to give to it.


Oh, and if you wonder, the music was remixed by me. Yeah, I am a DJ. Technically, the main character in here is supposed to be myself. And at last, YEAH, the design of the SL-1200 turntables here might be wrong. So sue me. I couldn't care less.
