Remake of my classic Super Mario Brothers picture, my first Mario fanart submitted to deviantART in 2005. The original is still quite popular, but it looks pretty outdated to me, it needed a little refreshing. Prints of this were made for Fan Expo as well.

I'm not deleting the original version, so people can compare both to see my improvement over the years, if they want. =P

P.S.: The perspective was wrong in the original version, and it is still wrong here, because you can't replicate such a perspective in real life. However, I didn't want to change the background structure too much so I just made it "less worse". It still looks good to me, and a LOT better than the old one. :D

Watermarked because I can.

All characters belong to Nintendo!

This is like a hodge-podge of every Mario game in one! Imagine if Nintendo did a game like this!

~BlaiddDrwgOfTARDIS is stealing artwork and putting it on their fagbook page if you were not aware.

They steal first and ask permission later, total deviant noobs.

Do not feed the troll.

Stealing? I don't know about her DeviantART account (which is deactivated now), but what I see on her Facebook page right now is artwork that is properly credited, with links back to the original. How can this be considered art theft? Unless you don't want to show your artwork to anybody, as an artist, you can't really ask any better than that!

We live in an era where everything circulates and is being shared all the time, so the best way to eradicte this for an artist is to simply stop putting their work on the Internet. I really hope *NatSilva is referencing now deleted past status updates, where the person in question blatantly took credit over the deviations involved, because if she is complaining about the page's current content, which seems faily legit to me, I'm sorry but this is beyond my understanding.

She copied art and posted the copy there without asking. She asked *NatSilva afterwards for permission instead of asking first.

She did not use the share links available in each deviation. Looking back she has taken images from all over the Internet and has recently targeted Deviantart.

Look at the recent post about the artwork of Dr Who where she says it was one of the first she posted and that she finally found the artist. The artwork has the artists signature and deviantart URL. This proves that she did not bother to look and has no respect for other peoples work.

This person is a loner and pretends that the page is run and liked my many people. All this "we" and "us" stuff is all one bored person. They only had the deviantart account for one week and seems they did not try the experience Deviantart provides with journals, polls, gallerys, devwatch and adding art to favorites.

Well, it's no surprise to me that this person didn't use the share links, as it appears *NatSilva has disabled them in some of her deviations (but not all of them). What is left then, for a beginner who's not really on the loop when it comes to properly copy and paste links? You save it on your computer and reupload it elsewhere, losing all of the metadata in the process!

I'm not sure if I saw what you're referring (I saw a lot of Doctor Who artwork down there but nothing matching your description). I wish I could go back and double-check but unfortunately (or fortunately?), the page is gone. From the 5-10 minutes I spent on there, what I saw was that most of the status updates included both the artist and the link back to the original. Despite the lack of maturity, the cowardice she showed you guys, and the apparent desire to be popular and recognized, I think that's at least one thing she did right. Not everybody takes the effort to copy/paste all that information for others to see, at least not in our days.

I have a feeling that Nat is more upset about the fact that her artwork circulates outside of DeviantART, which I can totally understand as each artist have different views on how much control they should have on the availability of their stuff; I totally respect that! What I mean is, you just can't say that sharing is stealing, not with artwork that's being distributed freely on an art site.

Can you remove share links? I'm not sure how.

You clearly aren't getting it, she COPIED the art and posted it without consent. She did not 'share' the images and with most work she did not link back to the source (you could see this in her posts up to about December).

We noticed the page disappeared at a certain point just as others reading this journal did too.

Okay. I only saw the posts that had credits and links to them on that Facebook page, so once again, I might have missed some details as I only spend like 5 minutes on it. If you tell me she had copied and miscredited the rest, then I believe you, there's not much else I can say!
