A Fish's dinner

That's my entry for the contest running on . Go read the last journal entry for the rules/restrictions I had to face for the making of this picture.


Luigi's relaxing and eating a dish served at an Isle Delfino bistro/restaurant.... Gopper Bloober doesn't look very keen with that idea!


First of all, I never played Super Mario Sunshine. So if there are context errors (i.e.: Gopper Blobber doesn't belong to this place due to a certain specification in the plot I might have missed), then sorry for that.


This is also my first attempt at doing a full drawing using India Ink for BOTH line and colour (using fountain pens for lines and paintbrushes for colours). So, yeah, some parts here and there in the colouring are pretty sloppy. The sky is a bit dark : I didn't have any 'light blue' ink available. Also, the paper I used doesn't like water... it kinda warped when I laid down inks : I wasn't expecting of using colours on this one. I didn't want to cut-off the uncoloured white spots on the border so instead I replaced the white by dA's background colour and put a frame on it so it morphs better into this page, while keeping its traditional feeling in the meanwhile. My opinion.


If you have hints for applying inks, blending, anything that could help improve my technique, bring it on. I'm always looking for improvement.
